I've just been having a discussion with someone on a forum, where I was accused of basically being a fanciful dreamer with no basis in reality. This is because I was saying I thought all peoples were one and the same and that wherever possible the natural way of doing something was best. I resent this.
Apparently wearing fur and similar, which degrades naturally, where we eat many providers of things like fur such as leather and wool, thus meaning the animal hasn't died only for one thing, is "awful", and a "disgusting thing to do to an animal". How would I like it they say. Well, I'd be dead, I'd have to argue. The fact of the matter is, if the animal has been killed for food, it's a waste not to use the leather/fur/wool/hide. Obviously if the animal was skinned alive *coughchinaandraccoondogsdontlookitupyoullbesickcough* then that's not on.
And horses as transport. "It'd take days to get there" Well why are you in such a gods damn it rush anyway? You can't complain about needing to be there, it's not a matter of life and death, a man made predicament. Not worth the pollution for a faster world in my opinion.
I realise I sound like a "woolly-headed environmentalist" here, but quite frankly, people who think that can bugger off. I'm being the pragmatist, you wooly headed machinist! If people survived like it for centuries, why can't we now? Too arrogant to slow down? Too arrogant to think they may have had it right? That cars are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard long term? And why is the natural way always looked down and sneered at? "Oooh, bit of a greenie that one!" NO I'M NOT I just think you rely on machines excessively and not enough on your own legs! /rant
